All High School and Jr. High students are invited to see the new movie We Are Marshall and having lunch with the group, meet at Johnny Rockets (next to Edwards theatre) at 12:00pm. We will then see the movie at 1:40pm. Please pick up students by Edwards at 4pm. Please bring $20 to cover food and movie ticket.
Games & Lunch @ UPC-- Friday, December 29
All high school and Jr. High students are invited to UPC's Majesty Theatre for pizza and games (board games, card games, and video games) from 12pm-4:00pm this Friday. Please bring age appropriate games to play. Also bring $5 to cover lunch.
Journey & Passage—Sunday, December 31
There will be no Journey or Passage this morning. Enjoy spending time with your families and celebrating the coming of Jesus Christ into the world. Journey and Passage will resume on Sunday, January 7th in room 11.

On Friday, December 22 @ 7:00pm, the youth will be headed to the Nunez's house for the annual youth Christmas party. We will be having a gift exchange-- no more than $10 a gift please (any amount under $10 is fully acceptable) . Also we will be playing some games and of course hanging out.

Family Event-- Christmas Caroling on December 10
Our family event this month intersects with the all-church christmas caroling on the evening of December 10. Many of our youth ministry families have come out in recent years and had a lot of fun together. I would encourage you to bring your whole family to this event. The event starts with a potluch at 5:00pm in the Great Room. The caroling begins at 5:30pm.

Many of our youth ministry families have come out in recent years and had a lot of fun together. I would encourage you to bring your whole family to this event. Progressive Dinner and Overnight— Sunday, November 19
We will meet at Nunez's house (click on the link for directions) at 6:30pm. From there we will caravan to the Mitchell's house for the main course. Finally, we will end up at the Paradise's (click on the link for directions) for dessert. If students are not attending the overnight, they can be picked up at the Paradise's at 9:45pm. Following the Progressive dinner, guys will go to the Lyon's house for an overnight. Girls will go to the Sutton's house for an overnight. Students can be picked up from these houses the following day by 9:00am (or earlier if you need). Students should bring a sleeping bag and pillow, a snack to share, and a change of clothes. Friends are welcome.

UPC is hosting a Trunk or Treat for kids in the apartment communities around our church on October 31 from 5:30p till 8pm. We will need our high school students to participate in this by decorating car trunks, leading games, doing face painting, etc. Also, we will need some vehicles for the trunk decorating. Also, a candy box will be in the Narthex for people to donate bags of candy. We are partnering with Childrens Ministry and Evangelism Committee on this. For more details, see Jessica.

Just a reminder that there is NO Sunday evening weekly program anymore. Mentor Groups have taken the place of this program and these groups meet approximately 2-3 times per month at homes and coffee shops on different days.

Please send your Sr. High student to Journey this month in order for us to best develop and form our students as a group. We will also talk in detail about the Imago Dei ceremony for the following Sunday.

All Jr. High and Sr. High girls are invited to come and serve at the UPC parking lot for the Fresno State game at 12:00pm. The girls will eat lunch while doing the parking lot. After parking cars, the girls will have an all girls afternoon planned by Jessica and Sarah involving Teasers & Color Me Mine. Students should bring $5. Plan on picking up your girls at 6:30pm here at UPC.

Fundraising @ Roger Rockas
Friday, September 29th is a High School fundraising activity for the Spring 2007 Mission Trip. If you are planning on going on the trip, then you need to plan on volunteering at this event (contact me if you have a schedule conflict). Linda Stolling is coordinating this event. Arrive at Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium at 6:45pm. Dress is dark pants and a white shirt. We will be taking tickets, seating guests, and selling refreshments. Please confirm with Linda Stolling if you or your student plans on attending.
